Our tour left promptly at 8:15 and, as we stumbled into the shuttle with 4 other people, I silently wished for more sleep. Montenegro and Croatia are part of former Yugoslavia (as well as the other neighboring countries). We were given a few history tidbits along the way as well as many cultural jokes about Montenegrians. One of which was about their laziness and it proved rather true as the line at the border crossing grew longer and longer and no one came rushing out to open a second check station.
Summer has arrived! Or rather, we have arrived to summer. Our Valentine’s celebration kicked off with a relaxing dinner in the fancy piano bar of our luxery hotel. Brian ordered the “Valentino” meal and I, of course, ordered the “Love” special. The ocean lay before us, shrouded in darkness with only the twinkling stars and city lights to illuminate the waves. As we toasted our champagne glasses to 7 months of wedded bliss we reflected on our blessings and our first adventure to The Bahamas that led to our engagement.
